Studies performed prior to May 2016 refer to Enelytix as pCloudAnalytics.
Exploring Natural Gas and Renewables in ERCOT Part II
The Texas Clean Energy Coalition aimed to assess potential outcomes for energy resources in the future Texas power grid, emphasizing energy efficiency programs, CHP, and carbon policy.
Enelytix simulated market-driven decisions for various new electric resources, modeling minute-by-minute grid operation by ERCOT. The study revealed significant opportunities for energy efficiency and demand response to replace capacity additions and reduce electricity costs.
Transmission Topology Optimization
A research team led by Boston University used Enelytix as a part of an arsenal of tools for dynamically reconfiguring the topology of electrical grids. The goal of the project was to optimize the state of the transmission network in addition to unit commitment and economic dispatch to reduce system costs and increase operational efficiency. The development of this innovative technology was funded by ARPA-E and is presently being commercialized by NewGrid.
